Self-Awareness

Social-Awareness is one of five core competencies as reported by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL). The social and emotional learning concept includes the following skills:

  • Identifying emotions
  • Accurate self-perception
  • Recognizing strengths
  • Self-confidence

  • Self-efficacy

Elementary scholars employ self-reflection, boost emotional development, and establish positive habits that encourage a productive present and future learner. Self-awareness translates to a better relationship with one's self and ultimately with others.
