Student Engagement: Student Connections

Helping students feel connected to you and other students when learning in a remote environment can be challenging. There are some ways to help them connect. Here are some ideas:

• Offer Office Hours - Students can drop in during this time to ask questions and connect 
• Create a fun channel - this can be a place where you share fun ideas for students and parents to engage in throughout the week (i.e. cooking challenges, legos, activities and more)
• Provide a safe place for students to connect together online - This might be through interest groups or favorite topics
• Provide opportunities for students to connect and work in groups many platforms allow for students to work in small groups
