Students explore the use of symbolism to communicate abstract concepts through sculpture. They study about stereotyping. They then create a sculpture using hand forms. Students are challenged to create sculptures that reflect and respond to attitudes and behaviors that stereotype. interpretive exercise to discuss messages conveyed in their own and others' sculptures.
