This 1-1.5 hour module provides background information necessary to understanding how the Common Core State Standards play a role in improving education. It answers the question: How are these standards different than the latest versions of any individual state's standards? The module concludes with an overview of the major math and ELA / Literacy shifts required by the Common Core.
