Fourth graders create Explorer Trading Cards and individual timelines were then created on index cards with the class timeline assembled by putting all of the index cards together. They identify explorers, where they were exploring, and why the students are exploring. Finally, 4th graders use laptops to research a particular explorer in partnerships and also, use laptops to do a guided exploration of spices and spice trade.
