This website provides educators with an opportunity to learn and teach about Aboriginal Leadership in Canada. The elementary section focuses on identifying Aboriginal role models and heroes such as Bill Reid, Buffy Sainte-Marie, or Waneek Horn. Confict resolution as well as Iroquois culture and history are also touched upon. Within the Senior High component, the focus is upon introducing learners to leadership within Aboriginal political organizations and groups. Learners will also explore the history of the Metis Nation and their leaders, both in Canada's past as well as current leaders. Lesson plans are easily downloadable and include great background materials for the educator.
