The following lesson plan will serve as a hands-on math activity reviewing the 2's and 3's multiplication and division factors. Young scholars will examine the relationship between multiplication and division using Starburst and Jolly Rancher candy counters. In addition, the students will work in cooperative learning groups to solve multiplication and division problems using the candy counters. Cooperative learning groups may be created to assist at-risk young scholars if needed (pair low achievers with high achievers).
