Explorations in Place Value is an interactive math mini-unit that incorporates the use of children's literature, mathematical learning stations, and small group instructional strategies to reinforce basic principles of place value and to teach students about writing large numbers in expanded notation. This lesson plan was created by exemplary Alabama Math Teachers through the AMSTI project.
