This activity is a hands-on, cross-curricular activity for exploring non-standard measurement. It utilizes children's literature, manipulatives, opportunities for writing, and small group collaborative learning. Learners will meaningfully use vocabulary associated with measurement. This activity could be used as part of a unit on the author, Dr. Seuss, or at any time during the school year in conjunction with the math program.
