The purpose of this activity is to apply the operations of addition to solve problems using multiple strategies. The students will communicate their math knowledge during the process by showing examples and discussing their work. This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.
