Geographers are social scientists who are interested in human activities as well as the physical environment. Human geography includes a wide range of topics, such as the study of languages, religions, customs, economics, and political systems. A special focus of human geography is demography. This social science is the study of populations, including such topics as birth, marriage, migration, and death.
