In this lesson, the students will learn what a ratio is and how it can be used in a comparison. In this lesson, students will also determine how to combine a sports drink in powder form and water to make enough for a whole football team. Students will be encouraged to use different strategies such as ratios and proportions. This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.
