Students will discover how atherosclerosis can cause plaque build up in the inner walls of arteries leading to hardening of the arteries which leads to cardiac disease. Students will research atherosclerosis using the Internet and prepare a slide show presentation to communicate the causes and effects of atherosclerosis. Each student will complete a newsletter or brochure to motivate other students, teachers, and staff to monitor diet.
