American History: Documents: Treaty of Paris 1763

Curated by ACT

Visitors will find a transcript of the text of the Treaty of Paris. The beginning has a long description of the people and countries involved in the Seven Years' War. It goes on to state the terms of the peace treaty for France after their loss in the war. Most of the terms have to do with specific pieces of land the French were forced to turn over to the British. Other conditions demanded for the British and their Spanish allies are explained in detail.
