Download the entire Fall 2003 issue of the Archaeology Southwest Magazine to read several articles relating to the Mimbres culture and pottery. The Mimbres were a subgroup of the larger Mogollon culture inhabiting the Southwest until around 1200 AD. The articles discuss the culture, pithouses, meaning of the images on the pottery, and how the sites have been excavated. This is a worthwhile resource with a varitey of information about this important group of early Americans. [pdf]
