Instructional Ideas
- After learners have been taught how to use the interactive, have them play independently or with a partner for a class period. Then, follow up with a writing assignment on what they experienced, or assess them using the included PowerPoint presentation
Classroom Considerations
- Best if introduced as a summary of the three branches of government, rather than to introduce any one branch
- It will take a little time to get a firm grasp on how the game works, and from there, it would be most helpful for the instructor to explain the game to students
- Requires free online registration
Pros
- Instructions are nicely incorporated into game play and handout
- Very complex interactive that illustrates essential roles of each of the three branches
- PowerPoint presentation for assessment can be downloaded and edited
Cons
- None
