Instructional Ideas
- Use a set of building blocks to build the prism in the task so the class can see what it looks like
Classroom Considerations
- In addition to volume, learners need to be able to calculate surface area
- Note that the task does not cover the fractional edge lengths portion of the Common Core standard
Pros
- Includes commentary on sample student responses
- Teacher resource has some optional ideas for action research
Cons
- Diagrams are not professional looking and can take away some of the visual appeal of the resource
