This activity has learners solve five problems in which groups of 10 pictured items are circled and the rest counted. Pupils write the number (under 20). What distinguishes this work from other counting worksheets is that the objects are all clustered together. The 10s are not set apart in prearranged sets, so learners have to identify and separate the groups of 10 on their own.
