Carnegie Corporation of New York: "Literacy Coaches: An Evolving Role"

This Carnegie Reporter article discusses the history of and the need for literacy coaches in American middle and high schools. With too many of our nation's students unable to read adequately, this new approach is aimed at equipping all students with strategic reading skills, so that they will be prepared for college and the demands of today's workplace.
