Summary of the African settlers that left the Thirteen Colonies in favor of British North America during the late 18th and early 19th centuries is presented in this web page. Nova Scotia's people and government forced many Black Loyalists to loose faith in the future and they left the country for Sierra Leone in West Africa, others stayed but gradually developed segregated communities as a result of wide spread racism.
