Everyone loves Arthur, the friendly aardvark! Emerging readers explore Arthur books by Marc Brown. They use the Internet to research Marc Brown and share information with their class. They work independently to conduct research and then write a descriptive paragraph about their favorite character. This instructional activity includes resource links helpful for research. While first and second grades are suggested on the instructional activity, I'd push this project to second, third, and fourth graders.
