Middle schoolers get drinks during physical education in a controlled manner when the water fountain is not in the gymnasium. Then they identify and practice that they do not have to interrupt class to ask for permission. Students also identify the importance of replacing liquids while exercising. Finally, they practice using passes given by the teacher to get drinks instead.
