Using images of ice cream cones and carrots, this counting exercise has learners find sets of images with one more than the given set. For the first question, they count a set of six cones, then examine four other sets to indicate the one with seven. They do the same for a set of eight carrots. Consider assessment for this one; how do learners solve these problems? Do they know how many carrots to look for? Can they indicate how many less are in the other set options?
