Counting Money

This Counting Money worksheet also includes:

Money is always a source of interest for young mathematicians, so utilize their engagement by adding up coin values. For each set of coins (quarter, dime, nickel, and penny) scholars count up and write the total. The example has them write out the addends, however the problems don't leave much room for that. Only one of these adds up to over one dollar, so be sure kids understand this concept before assigning. Consider asking them to predict which square has the most money before they do the math to figure it out.
