Learners observe 2 demonstrations of density. For this density lesson plan, students observe a vial with various substances of different densities. Learners then observe the differences between a diet coke and a regular coke can when on a double pan balance. Students add sugar on top of the coke can until it balances with the diet coke. Learners are introduced to the concept of density and they are given the formula and apply it to the demonstrations.
