The map shows tea in the east and southeast of Asia and Ceylon (Sri Lanka), rice in the wet lands of the southeast, cotton, wheat, millet, and sugarcane in the south and southwest, coffee, cinnamon and other spices from Java, dates, figs, and coffee around the Red Sea, grains and grasses in the steppes, and timber from the forestlands of the north.
