Sixth graders discover scientific processes by conducting an experiment in class. In this osmosis lesson, 6th graders utilize eggs, cooking ingredients, string and plastic cups to create an experiment in which they watch the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide over the course of several days. Students discuss the importance of osmosis and the human respiration system.
