Your class will learn what it means to take a random sample of a population and to draw inferences from the information gained. In part a, of the exercise, you discuss with your class how students during a class election can be best sampled to obtain the most representative outcome of the election. From this discussion, pupils describe what sampling process they would use. Part b discusses the benefits of doing multiple samples of the same size to better predict the winner. Use the other two lessons attached for additional practice with this standard.
