Encyclopedia of Alabama: Wilson's Raid

Curated by ACT

A description of the events which evolved in Alabama in the spring of 1865 as the troops led by James Wilson, a Union general, destroyed most of the Confederacy's arms manufacturing abilities. Interestingly enough, Wilson's Raid ended after General Lee had surrendered to General Grant, thus not affecting the outcome of the war.
