Essay on People and Their Experiences

Students explore "Sonny's Blues" by James Baldwin, "The Magic Barrel" by Bernard Malamud, and "Cathedral" by Raymond Carver. In this shorty story analysis lesson, students write down facts about each of the main characters from the stories. Students write a comparison essay of the three stories and what the characters learned from their experiences.
