Young scholars are introduced to the concept of design criteria; specifically what functionality must the trains on the west corridor meet to satisfy the needs of customers and of the owner. Students groups utilize a worksheet imbedded in this plan which outlines a variety of design possibilities. They determine which one is the best, and present their findings to the class.
