The statue represents the goddess Mut in animal form as a vulture. She was usually depicted, on temple walls, as a woman wearing a long brightly colored dress and a vulture headdress surmounted by the Double Crown. This statue of the goddess Mut is considered to be one of the most perfect statues of sacred animals, very finely sculpted with all the small details, especially details of the vulture's legs.
