Eternal Egypt: Wooden Spindle

Curated by ACT

A wooden spindle was used to spin animal wool. It consists of a long wooden instrument with a circular head that the craftsman spun, so that the wool could rotate around it from the lower part upwards, and thus form a thread. The thread was then used to produce different forms of woven material.
