In this Big Bang Theory activity, students read about how scientists simulate the original Big Bang conditions using atom smashers. Students solve 4 problems given about the Big Bang. They find the average collision energy of particles at that time, they find the number of seconds after the Big Bang that the particles collided with given energy and they determine how long it took to achieve given temperatures after the Big Bang.
