Reclaim forgotten philosophers of the twentieth century. Feminist philosophers have shaped our current concepts of politics and gender, but they are seldom mentioned in the classroom. Change that omission with a lesson plan that includes biographical information and primary source analysis from three women who have a profound influence on how people see the world: Judith Butler, Simone de Beauvoir, and Hannah Arendt. After examining the materials, options for discussion include think-pair-share, as well as a Pick-a-Number discussion that allows learners to explore primary sources of their choice.
