This article looks at evidence that economies in sub-Saharan Africa are doing well, and some of the reasons things are not going as well as they may seem to be. Examines why economies are improving, and the serious, ongoing challenges. The article ends with an optimistic look at why things may be changing for the better. (Published: May/June 2013)
