Pupils practice their reading comprehension by participating in a fictional fishing exercise.  For this children's literature lesson, students read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss, and discuss the characteristics of fish.  Pupils create their own fish using arts and crafts then pretend to fish for them using magnets as hooks.
