This Greenhouse Gases lesson plan also includes:
- Activity
- Worksheet
- Join to access all included materials
Although the worksheet for the lab activity is not included, this is an activating activity for your class to do when learning about the greenhouse effect. They lay three thermometers underneath a lamp: one out in the open, one under a glass beaker, and the third under a beaker containing carbon dioxide gas. They record temperatures every two minutes for 30 minutes total. You can display the procedure via projector for lab groups to follow, print out the data table for them to fill in, and use the discussion questions with the whole class after experimentation.
