Stimulate the senses with a handprint art project! Flake laundry detergent, water, and food coloring are mixed together to create a substance that has a pleasant smell and will dry hard and dimensional. Children with visual disabilities will love smelling, touching, and then feeling their hardened handprints. Note: While the lesson plan is great for tactile stimulation in children with visual impairments, it would also be great as a fun pre-k project as well.
