Harmony Break! Finding Emotions With Music

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Gather the entire family (or class members) for a fun Harmony Break! A volunteer thinks of a color from their Mood Meter that they will express by singing, playing an instrument, or performing a dance. After the performance, the audience indicates the color they believe the performance reflected on their Mood Meters. The group then compares their charts to the performer's intended and discusses the results. Members quickly learn that what they think someone might be feeling may not be accurate, so it's better to ask, "How are you feeling?"
