Young scholars discover how hydrogen is created and extracted from water to use as an energy source. For this solar energy lesson, students use pieces of aluminum foil as electrodes. Young scholars attach one end of a wire to the hanger of the electrode. Students attach the other end of the wire to the photovoltaic panel and take it outside into the sunlight. Young scholars record observations.
