Tenth graders study the concepts of hyperbolas from circles. In this hyperbola lesson, 10th graders identify the points where the circles cross each other on the illustration shown. Students mark all the points where the differences of the numbers for the two intersecting circles is 6. Students then connect the points with a smooth curve and draw the hyperbolas.
