Young scholars conduct an experiment in which they create open and closed circuits.  In this insulators and conductors instructional activity, students review open and closed circuits and then get in groups to make both kinds of circuit.  Young scholars use a paperclip to learn about conductors and insulators and explore other objects to see which category they fit into.
