What is this letter? Once your class is ready to explore the letter n, use these strategies to combine word examples, pronunciation, and letter recognition. First, can they identify the letter? Make the /n/ sound, explaining how you do it using these tips. Kids try on their own and then brainstorm words with this initial phoneme. Play a fast-thinking game to cement letter recognition skills, pointing to one letter at a time. If you point to an n they make its sound, staying silent for all other letters.
