Students are introduced to the concept of interconnectedness and make connections regarding conflict in their community, country, and the world. In this interconnectedness lesson plan, students define the word conflict and what that word conveys. Students then brainstorm the definition of "violence" and are asked to interchange the words conflict and violence while sharing personal experiences. Students then define the word nonviolence and create a spiraling diagram.
