Students create a pattern out of pattern blocks. In this math lesson, students work with a partner to investigate the pattern they have. Within that group, students continue to design the pattern by adding the next two pieces. Additionally, students work independently to predict, draw and write about the 8th piece of the pattern. This lesson includes vocabulary to help the students name the shapes. Students share with others. This lesson includes two assessments.
