Sneeze, snap, tap, and whistle; Did I do that? Explore the parts and sounds of the human body with your learners with visual impairments. First you'll name the parts of the body, make a sound with each part, and then have the class guess which body part made the sound. Note: A sighted child can see that a cat meows; he understands the mechanism through observation. A child who cannot see needs to be able to connect sounds to the tangible objects that make them. This instructional activity is very good for helping them make the sound-to-object connection.
