Students analyze given hyperbolas and write the equation for an hyperbola given certain information. They also identify and define hyperbolas and complete an activity using the hyperbola paper included in the lesson which will help them to locate points which satisfy the the definition. Students then develop the equation for a hyperbola with center at the origin, foci, and constant difference.
