Students investigate the Winter Olympics by studying the geography of the 2010 Vancouver games.  In this competitive sports lesson, students identify the planning and preparation needed to produce an event like the Winter Olympics.  Students utilize a map to measure the distance between venue sites of the 2010 games, and discuss if Seattle would be a good site for the Olympics.
