Students identify the importance of photography as an entry into the news, good photo taking skills, and the appreciation of photo aesthetics. In this photography activity, students identify the 'Rosetta Stone' of photography skills and discuss examples from newspapers. Students collect photos they have taken and note how they exemplify 'Rosetta Stone' rules. Students also take five new photos using the rules.
